I'm currently an investor at Insight Partners. We're sector-agnostic technology investors managing ~$100B AUM, based out of NYC. I spend my time on early-stage AI applications and infrastructure. I also run Columbia in Tech, a community of founders, operators, and investors.

Prior to Insight, I was an investor at Bain Capital Ventures. During my tour of duty in San Francisco, I was lucky to support founders defending us from ransomware (Halcyon), powering the real-time infrastructure behind nearly every app you use (Redis), and building coding general intelligence (Poolside).

I'm the daughter of two Chinese immigrants — my father is a physics PhD and my mother studied English literature — so I grew up believing that accuracy and precision aren't antithetical to creativity, in fact, they enable it. In my hometown of Portland, Oregon, I spent most of my free time curled up in an armchair at Powell's City of Books. When I wasn't there, or in school, I was swimming laps, spending 20 hours a week in the water to get faster by just one second, for one critical race, once a year. I was 9 years old when Michael Phelps won his eighth gold medal in Beijing in 2008, and I learned that the difference between good and legendary is measured in just hundredths of a second, but takes years of obsessive work.

I studied Financial Economics and Political Science at Columbia University. Outside of class, I spent all my time with the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE). Columbia convinced me that the most important skill I could possess was the ability to draw connections between seemingly unrelated ideas, trends, people, and disciplines. William Cronon's Only Connect is the closest thing I have to a guiding philosophy. This is perhaps why I've loved investing so much, in my professional life.

You can find me on X, Goodreads, Spotify, and LinkedIn.

I love meeting new people, especially those also thinking about startups, community building, and shifts in culture. If that sounds like you:
