I currently work in software and AI investing at Insight Partners. We're sector-agnostic technology investors managing ~$100B AUM, based out of NYC. I spend my time on AI applications and infrastructure across all stages, from early growth to buyout. I also run Columbia in Tech, a community of Columbia University alumni - founders, operators, and investors alike - who come together regularly to share a meal and lively conversation.

Prior to Insight, I was an investor at Bain Capital Ventures backing growth-stage startups in infrastructure software. I did a two-year tour of duty in San Francisco from 2023 to 2025, before returning to NYC.

I'm the daughter of two Chinese immigrants — my father is a physics PhD and my mother studied English literature — so I grew up believing that accuracy and precision aren't antithetical to creativity, in fact, they enable it. In my hometown of Portland, Oregon, I spent most of my free time curled up in an armchair at Powell's City of Books. When I wasn't there, or in school, I was swimming laps, spending 20 hours a week in the water to get faster by just one second, for one critical race, once a year. I was 9 years old when Michael Phelps won his eighth gold medal in Beijing in 2008, and I learned that the difference between good and legendary is measured in just hundredths of a second, but takes years of obsessive work.

I'll sing the praises of my eccentric, cozy, liberal arts high school forever. Only Connect by William Cronon is the closest thing I have to a guiding philosophy. I left Catlin Gabel absolutely sure that the most important skill I could possess was the ability to draw connections between seemingly unrelated ideas, trends, people, and disciplines. This is perhaps why I've loved investing so much, in my professional life.

I studied Financial Economics and Political Science at Columbia University, but really, in college, I learned how effortlessly joyful life can be when all of your best friends live within a four-block radius.

In past lives, I have:
